Swapping - A Quick Guide
A quick guide to swapping tokens on PACT SWAP
The following steps will guide you through the process of swapping tokens on PACT SWAP.
Access wallets through the menu drawer
Click the wallet icon in the top right corner of the screen to access the wallets menu drawer.

Initialise wallet connection
Initiate by selecting the wallet by chain family you want to use to PACT SWAP. You can connect one wallet for each chain.

Connect wallet
Connect your wallet of choice to PACT SWAP. Currently Litecoin (Litescribe) and Tron (TronLink) are limited to 1 wallet only.

Provide permission to access wallet
Normally, you will be prompted to provide permission to access your wallet. This is to ensure that you are the owner of the wallet and to prevent unauthorized access.

Select a token from the list
Select the token you want to swap from the list you are provided with. Usually all available tokens are shown in this list.

Some combinations of tokens may not be available for swapping. Please check our socials for the latest information.

Enter the amount you want to swap
Enter the amount you want to swap. You can click on the $USD amount to enter the amount in fiat.

Enter the recipient address
Enter the recipient address you want to swap to. This address will be the one receiving the swapped tokens. If you have a connected wallet for the selected token's chain it will be automatically filled in.

Initiate the swap
Initiate the swap by clicking the "Swap" button.
ERC20 or generally non-native tokens
For non-native tokens such as ERC20 you will potentially be prompted to approve the swap amount, or provide the permission for the use of the token by a third party such as PACT SWAP, first. This is a common security measure of the blockchain to prevent unauthorized access to your tokens.

Proceed in your wallet
Proceed in your wallet to confirm the swap. This will be different for each wallet and happens outside of PACT SWAP.

Step one: Mining
First your outgoing transaction will have to be mined. For the most chains this step is negligible. For some chain such as Bitcoin (BTC) this step can take 10 minutes on average.
Note
For Bitcoin (BTC) the mining step can take very long. Potentially pushing your transaction to the next block. Please be aware to track your BTC swaps. Under circumstances you might have to speed up your transaction here. You will be informed here.

Step two: PACT
After the mining step is complete, your swap will be processed by PACT. When the PACT has successfully been created, you will see a green checkmark here.

Step three: Receiving swapped tokens
When the PACT has successfully been created and the transaction has been confirmed, you will see a green checkmark at Finalised and the incoming transaction for the swapped token. From here on you can follow the incoming transaction, which can take a while on chains such as Bitcoin (BTC).

E voila! You have successfully swapped your tokens without any bridge, and with onchain fees only.
